Analog Devices Inc. (ADI): The maker of chips for communications-equipment companies said first-quarter profit more than doubled after it sold two business units. The company predicted revenue may rise as much as 4 percent in the current quarter, countering concern that slowing demand from customers may hurt sales growth this year. Shares rose 29 cents to $27.72 yesterday.
Lithia Motors Inc. (LAD): The car retailer said sales this year will be as much as $3.3 billion, missing the average estimate of $3.35 billion by analysts in a Bloomberg survey. The company was downgraded to ``equalweight'' from ``overweight'' at Stephens Inc. The stock fell $2.67, or 18 percent, to $12 in extended trading yesterday.
Terex Corp. (TEX): The world's third-largest maker of construction equipment said fourth-quarter earnings jumped 72 percent, more than analysts' forecast, helped by international demand. Shares rose 6.4 percent to $66.20 in extended trading yesterday.
