ArcelorMittal (MT) rose 3.8 percent to $78.36 before the open of U.S. exchanges. The world's biggest steelmaker was raised to ``buy'' by Deutsche Bank AG as price increases the company unveiled yesterday will help mitigate higher costs for raw materials such as iron ore and coal.

Eli Lilly & Co. ReneSola Ltd. (SOL) gained 13 percent to $11.34. The world's largest recycler of scrap wafers used in solar panels was raised to ``buy'' from ``neutral'' at Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
