Abbott Laboratories (ABT) rose 3.5 percent to $57.50 after the close of U.S. exchanges. The drugmaker won U.S. approval for Simcor, a combination pill to lower harmful cholesterol and increase the beneficial type.

American International Group Inc. (AIG): The world's largest insurer may jump almost 50 percent from a five-year low in New York trading because it will probably recoup $4.88 billion in losses from credit-default swaps, Barron's reported, citing analysts. AIG rose 1.3 percent to $46.11 on Feb. 15.

BlackRock Inc. (BLK): The largest publicly traded U.S. asset manager raised its quarterly cash dividend by 16 percent after net income tripled last year. BlackRock lost 1.4 percent to $195.78 on Feb. 15.

Clear Channel Communications Inc. (CCU): The largest U.S. radio broadcaster and outdoor advertising company sued Providence Equity Partners to force the private-equity firm to complete its $1.2 billion purchase of 56 television stations, the Wall Street Journal reported. Clear Channel gained 7.4 percent to $32.35 on Feb. 15.

Raytheon Co. (RTN) rose 2.5 percent to $67.30 in extended U.S. trading. The world's largest missile maker won a $1.02 billion order for its Standard Missile-3 as part of a ship-based defensive system being developed by the U.S. and Japan.

Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM): Motorola Inc. (MOT) and BlackBerry maker Research In Motion sued one another over mobile-phone patents, each claiming their competitor is using handset technology without permission. Research In Motion lost 0.4 percent to $95.19, and Motorola fell 2 percent to $11.28 on Feb. 15.

Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC): The San Francisco-based bank whose biggest shareholder is Berkshire Hathaway Inc. may see its shares climb as much as 15 percent in the next year, Barron's reported, citing analysts. Wells Fargo rose 0.3 percent to $29.69.
