Arbitron Inc. (ARB) fell $6.01, or 12 percent, to $42.90 after the official close of U.S. exchanges. The U.S. radio ratings company reduced its profit forecast, saying it expects to earn as much as $1.35 a share this year. The average estimate from analysts in a Bloomberg survey was $1.41.
Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC): The computer-services provider to government agencies and businesses said regulators don't plan any action against the company after a probe of stock-option grants. The stock fell 94 cents to $50.38 in regular trading.
Donaldson Co. (DCI) gained $1.24 to $41.30 in after- hours trading. The maker of air-filter systems reported first- quarter profit of 53 cents a share, exceeding the 47-cent average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. The company forecast 2008 profit of as much as $2.07 a share, more than the $1.97 average analyst projection.
Genesco Inc. (GCO) fell $1.07, or 3.5 percent, to $29.10 in after-hours trading. The shoe retailer seeking to be bought by Finish Line Inc. said it received a subpoena from the U.S. Attorney's office in New York related to its merger agreement. The subpoena says documents are being sought in connection with alleged violations of federal fraud statutes, Nashville, Tennessee-based Genesco said today in a statement.
Pulte Homes Inc. (PHM) gained 44 cents, or 4.8 percent, to $9.60 in extended trading. In a statement, the third-largest U.S. homebuilder by revenue reaffirmed its fourth-quarter guidance and said it is improving its balance sheet.
