MasterCard Inc. (
MA) rose $8.07, or 4.3 percent, to $194. The second-biggest payment-card network was raised to ``buy'' from ``hold'' at Deutsche Bank Securities. The brokerage also increased its price estimate 88 percent to $250 and lifted its revenue and earnings forecasts for 2007.

NCR Corp. (NCR): The world's largest automated teller machine maker was recommended by CNBC host Jim Cramer, who said it will benefit from increasing wealth in second- and third-world nations. NCR lost 85 cents, or 3 percent, to $27.46 yesterday.

WellCare Health Plans Inc. (WCG) advanced $1.68, or 5 percent, to $34.98. Shares of the health insurer may have dropped too low as big investors sold out after the company's offices were raided last month by fraud investigators, the Wall Street Journal said in its ``Heard on the Street'' column.
