ArvinMeritor Inc. (ARM): The maker of automobile brakes and shock absorbers said fiscal fourth-quarter earnings may be less than previously forecast by as much as 40 cents a share. ArvinMeritor shares lost 16 cents, or 1 percent, to $16.73 yesterday.

Barrick Gold Corp. (ABX) gained 19 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $39.60 in trading before the open of U.S. exchanges. The world's largest producer of precious metal was recommended by Cramer, who said it will benefit from rising gold prices.

Bemis Co. (BMS): The biggest maker of flexible packaging in the Americas said third-quarter profit was 37 cents to 40 cents a share, below a July forecast of 48 cents to 51 cents. Bemis shares gained 19 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $29.69 yesterday.

LDK Solar Co. American depositary receipts (LDK) advanced $1.20, or 2.3 percent, to $52.85 in trading before the open of U.S. exchanges. The Chinese maker of materials used to produce solar cells said in a statement on PRNewswire that allegations of ``inconsistencies'' in LDK's inventory reporting by a fired controller ``have no merit.''
