Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. (KCP): The designer of shoes and handbags said first-quarter profit will be as low as 3 cents. Analysts expect 5 cents, the average estimate in a Bloomberg survey. Kenneth Cole rose 2.6 percent to $15.37.

New York Times Co. (NYT): The owner of the namesake newspaper and the Boston Globe may have its Baa1 debt rating reduced by Moody's Investors Service because of declining advertising sales. New York Times rose 0.9 percent to $18.41 yesterday.

Tenaris SA (TS) rose 4.1 percent to $48.46. The world's largest maker of steel tubes that carry oil and gas gained after rival Vallourec SA (VK:FP) said profit rose 7.2 percent as record crude prices encouraged producers to probe deeper for fuel, boosting demand for pipes.

WCI Communities Inc. (WCI): The Florida homebuilder whose chairman and biggest investor is billionaire Carl Icahn forecast a fourth-quarter pretax loss of as much as $460 million as housing demand slumps.
