Limited Brands Inc. (LTD) rose 28 cents, or 1.6 percent, to $18.10 in extended trading. The owner of the Victoria's Secret lingerie chain posted fourth-quarter profit that fell less than some analysts estimated after reducing expenses to run its stores.
Mylan Inc. (MYL) fell 50 cents, or 3.8 percent, to $12.65 in extended trading. The largest U.S. maker of generic drugs said earnings will be reduced by 20 to 25 cents a share a year in 2008 through 2010 because of the slower-than-expected introduction of Perforomist, a brand-name treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Salesforce.com Inc. (CRM) climbed $4.18, or 7.9 percent, to $56.80 in extended trading. The biggest seller of Internet- based customer-management software reported a 14-fold increase in fourth-quarter profit as more companies subscribed to its sales programs and created online applications. The company boosted its revenue forecast for the current year.
