China Digital TV Holding Co. American depositary receipts (STV) jumped $5.66, or 14 percent, to $45.15. The country's largest supplier of smart cards for digital TV access rose for a third day following its Oct. 5 debut. China Digital TV raised $192 million last week in an initial public offering.

Coca-Cola Co. (KO) lost 55 cents, or 1 percent, to $57.25 in Germany. The world's largest soda maker was cut to ``hold'' from ``buy'' at Deutsche Bank Securities. So was the company's closest rival, PepsiCo Inc. (PEP). Analyst Marc Greenberg said the shares already reflect Coca-Cola and PepsiCo's prospects for profit growth. PepsiCo lost 12 cents to $73.79 in Germany.

Expeditors International of Washington Inc. (EXPD): The manager of cargo shipments will replace TXU Corp. (TXU) in the Standard & Poor's 500 Index, S&P said in a statement. Expeditors shares dropped 14 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $49.91 yesterday.

McAfee Inc. (MFE): The second-largest maker of anti-virus programs agreed to buy privately owned SafeBoot BV for $350 million in cash, acquiring corporate security software. McAfee shares rose 43 cents to $39.62 yesterday.

Sanofi-Aventis SA American depositary receipts (SNY) added $1.05, or 2.4 percent, to $44.77. The ADRs advanced amid speculation Pfizer Inc. (PFE), the world's largest drugmaker, may purchase Total SA's (FP) in Sanofi, the third-largest.

SLM Corp. (SLM): The largest U.S. provider of student loans filed a lawsuit against a J.C. Flowers & Co.-led group of investors seeking to renegotiate an acquisition of the company. SLM shares declined 29 cents to $49.21 yesterday.

Sprint Nextel Corp. (S) lost 15 cents, or 0.8 percent, to $18.35. The third-largest U.S. phone company ousted Chief Executive Officer Gary Forsee after he failed to wrest customers from Verizon Wireless and AT&T Inc. Forsee will leave immediately, Sprint said.

Terra Industries Inc. (TRA): The biggest producer of liquid-nitrogen fertilizer will replace Expeditors International in Standard & Poor's MidCap 400. Terra shares climbed 26 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $29.46 yesterday.).

Yum! Brands Inc. (YUM): The owner of the Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC restaurant chains said third-quarter profit rose 17 percent, exceeding analysts' estimates, on increased international sales. Yum shares rose $1.94, or 5.7 percent, to $36.29 yesterday.
