Stocks To Keep Your Eye On - 09/14/2007

Cedar Fair LP (FUN) The third-largest U.S. theme-park operator said it expects full-year revenue to be at the lower end of its forecast range of between $950 million and $980 million. Shares rose 3 cents to $25.16 in regular trading yesterday.

CHC Helicopter Corp. (FLI) The Vancouver-based company, whose helicopters service the offshore energy industry, increased 87 cents, or 4 percent, to $24.53. CHC late yesterday reported first-quarter revenue rose 21 percent to a record C$319.9 million and net income jumped fourfold to C$28.2 million when it sold a unit and exited lower-margin contracts. Shares rose 87 cents to $24.53 in regular trading yesterday.

Emulex Corp. (ELX) fell 42 cents to $18.29 in trading before U.S. exchanges opened. Matrix USA analyst Daniel Scalzi downgraded the stock to ``buy'' from ``strong buy''.

Genentech Inc. (DNA) The world's biggest maker of cancer drugs said a U.S. Food and Drug Administration advisory panel will review its bid in December to expand use of its Avastin medication to patients with breast cancer. The stock fell 35 cents to $78.58 in regular trading yesterday.

MetroPCS Communications Inc. (PCS) The mobile-telephone company that sells only prepaid service, climbed 52 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $25.31 in after-hours trading. UBS analyst John Hodulik said MetroPCS's $5.14 billion bid for smaller rival Leap Wireless International Inc. should be completed given the strategic and financial rationale. Shares fell $1.23 to $24.79 in regular trading yesterday.

Par Pharmaceutical Cos. (PRX) The U.S. maker of generic drugs is being sued by rival Santarus Inc. (SNTS) over claims that the company infringes patents for Zegerid, a medicine used to control acid-reflux disease, Santarus said. Par shares rose 37 cents to $20.26 in regular trading yesterday.

Rio Tinto Plc (RTP) fell $9.42, or 3.1 percent, to $293.58 in trading before U.S. exchanges opened. Rio Tinto and rival producers will cut the quarterly premium they charge Japanese customers for aluminum to the lowest level in 18 months because of a glut, according to five participants in the negotiations.

Trex Co. (TWP) The largest U.S. maker of composite decking and fencing materials said it suspended production at its Olive Branch, Mississippi, plant and will dismiss 115 workers. The stock fell 36 cents to $12.19 in regular trading yesterday.
